It has been a very busy 2007 and 2008. During this time I’ve shifted my attention to writing and producing a feature film, several documentary films and a reality TV pilot (I’ll disclose the subject matter at a later date), before finally getting back to my roots and penning another novel.
The first film, “Beyond the Epic Run” is scheduled for release sometime during 2009. It is the inspiring story of Serge and Nicole Roetheli, a Swiss couple who from 2000 to 2005 ran around the world with no outside support. In addition I have also been honing the script I wrote for a movie based on my first book The Tunnel Hoard and that film is currently in development. Another project that I have been consulting on is entitled “Via Papale: The Lost Road of the Popes”. This is the story of the remarkable rebuilding of Rome and resurrection of the Catholic Church after the sacking in 1544. I also have been producing a film depicting the work of the New Netherland Project located on the eighth floor of the New York State Museum in Albany. For several decades a devoted group of scholars have labored tirelessly and meticulously to unlock the secrets of an uncommonly rich period in the Empire State’s past. While producing and writing films seem to have been my focus the last two years, I was anxious to get back to writing books. Two books currently in process are Straight Talk on Reverse Mortgages and my new novel, A Royal Treatment.
The first book is non-fiction and it is a concise plain speaking informational guide to help seniors, their families and advisors to decide if a Reverse Mortgage is the right type of loan instrument for them. This highly controversial financial tool has started to explode and will continue to grow in popularity as the ‘baby boomer” generation continues to reach the eligible age of 62.
The second book is a novel, much in the same thriller genre as my previous novels. The story centers on the 1934 invention and subsequent cover-up of one of the most important creations in the history of mankind.
